SB19 Racism Controversy
Fame usually comes along with controversies and SB19 is no exemption.
The P-pop group was accused as a racist back in December 2019 following a Twitter post about their concert at Negros Occidental in the Visayas region.
“Hello, Negros! We are now in your zone! Excited na kami sa mga mangyayari sa aming first stop for our nationwide tour #SB19inNegros #SB19 #SB19_JOSH #SB19_SEJUN #SB19_STELL #SB19_KEN #SB19_JUSTIN,”
The supposed promotional tweet ignited confusion to those unfamiliar with the province and branded it as a racist remark. And although, fans were quick to clarify that ‘Negros’ is a place in the Philippines and the five guys mean no harm – the ‘racism’ controversy made it to the Asian Boss.
